It’s all over social media, with rumors circulating about Walmart stores in New Jersey.

Will Walmart reinstate 24-hour store hours?

Do you remember when Walmart was open 24 hours a day? I certainly do, I used to go to our Walmart at 1am and no one would be in the store. Or do you remember when Walmart was open really, really late?

However, with the outbreak of the pandemic, that changed. Shops and restaurants that were open 24 hours a day reduced their opening hours and closed much earlier than usual.

What rumors are circulating on social media about Walmart?

The news that all Walmart stores would be open 24 hours a day again starting in June was circulating like crazy on social media.

Here are just some of the social media posts:

*“Walmart has announced that it will return to 24-hour hours at all its stores in the U.S. this summer,” one post said.

*“Walmart just announced that all stores across the country will be open 24 hours a day this summer,” another post reads.

Most locations, including our Walmart stores here at the Jersey Shore, close at 11 p.m.

“I work there and asked my manager. We stay open from 6am to 11pm,” one person commented. According to a social media post, most stores across the country are open from 6am to 11pm.

A Walmart spokesperson also confirmed that there are “currently no plans to reopen our stores 24 hours a day.”

I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I first saw this. Heck, maybe someday?
