What is Walmart in Utah offering with five finger discount?

Appendix No. Utah Cities (8)

It’s making all our prices go up. It’s making my blood boil. I’m breathing and you can read. Here is the list of the top 8:

Appendix No. Utah Cities (1)

1.Cosmetics
While there are some really good drugstore brands, stealing things like lipstick, mascara, pressed powder, and hair dye is not the solution.

Appendix No. Utah Cities (2)

2. Small electronics
When it comes to small electronic devices, from simple watches to fancy smartphones and headphones, people seem to have a big eye on them.

3. Toys
Toys like Hot Wheels or Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh cards and Magic the Gathering cards often disappear.

4. Over-the-counter medications
For some reason, people most often buy painkillers today, followed by laxatives and veterinary medicines. You would think that people wouldn’t be so embarrassed to buy laxatives at the self-service counter, but there’s a camera at the self-service counter. Hahaha

5. Food
Fun fact: Packaged meat is reportedly the most commonly stolen item in America. Also on the list are baby formula, deli meats, alcohol, and pasta boxes.

6. Intimate items
At the top of the list of items stolen at Walmart appear to be pregnancy tests, condoms and sex toys, which are particularly frequently stolen.

7. Clothing and accessories
You won’t believe it, but in addition to shoes, hats, handbags and sunglasses, underwear is also frequently stolen at Walmart.

8. Jewelry
I thought rings would be high on the list, but it seems that earrings, necklaces and bracelets take the top spots.

Stealing is stupid and drives up prices for those who still have a modicum of morals. With the influx of people moving to our state, some of the things Utah was known for seem to be going out the window. Petty crime rates are on the rise. Be honest and don’t take things that aren’t yours. If you see anything suspicious, please report it. Remember to be safe than sorry! It’s better to tell store staff or authorities than to try to handle things yourself.

Appendix – BEST Steak in Utah

Southern Utah is often overlooked in top ten lists of the most beautiful places in the state. This time we have two steakhouses in the top 10!

A great steak is all about the perfect combination of quality, preparation and personal taste. When it all comes together, it’s great. If you can visit a place that can serve you that steak, even better. LETS GO TO SOUTHERN UTAH!

Appendix-BEST Steak in Utah (3)

Here are the steakhouses in Southern Utah that made it into the top 10 on the Best Things UT website!

“The Anasazi Steakhouse in St. George offers a variety of steaks at different price points and uses what they call “hot stones” to prepare their meat. Essentially, slabs of volcanic rock are heated in a special oven for 6-8 hours before being brought to your table with your main course selection. There, you have complete control over the preparation of your meat. The restaurant offers a unique approach to steaks and is a must-visit for meat lovers.”

“Cedar City is one of those places you go to when you want to get away from it all without sacrificing modern conveniences. In keeping with that vibe, Rusty’s Ranch House makes you feel like you’re truly in a “ranch house” and enjoying the freshest home cooking available. The restaurant offers four different steaks ranging from $19 to $27 and is known for attracting meat addicts from all over Utah.”

How do you get the perfect steak? Let’s break it down.

First, the cut is very important. Different cuts offer different flavors and textures. A ribeye steak, for example, has a marbling that melts when cooked, making it tender and flavorful. Filet mignon is leaner but incredibly tender. Then there’s the New York strip, which has a balanced fat-to-meat ratio.

Next, quality is key. Opt for well-marbled steaks, as marbling—those fine streaks of fat throughout the meat—creates juiciness and adds flavor when cooked. Fat = flavor.

The cooking method is also crucial. Whether you grill, pan-fry or broil, the goal is to achieve the perfect crust on the outside and maintain the desired doneness on the inside. And speaking of doneness, everyone has their own preferences – from rare to well done – so it’s important that the steak reaches the ideal temperature for your taste.

Seasoning plays an important role. Salt and pepper are the classics, but experimenting with different spices or marinades can enhance the flavor. Some prefer the simplicity of just salt and pepper to bring out the natural flavor of the meat, while others enjoy the complexity of different seasonings.

Finally, letting the steak rest after cooking is often overlooked but equally important. Allowing it to rest for a few minutes allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making the steak juicier when sliced.

Ultimately, a great steak is a balance of quality, preparation and personal taste preferences that make it a wonderful experience to be enjoyed!

Appendix-Aaronee’s 2-Step Chili

In Utah, many households have food pantries that need to be replaced regularly. With this simple pantry hack, you can make delicious chili that will fool your guests into thinking it was freshly made.

2 cans of chili, whatever you have in your pantry/grocery store (I used Nalley Turkey Chili)

230 g salsa (I used medium-sized homemade salsa because I had some left over)

Heat, stir and serve. Quick and delicious!

If you have time, you can increase the anti and start frying

¼ diced yellow onion

2 chopped garlic cloves

Then add chili and salsa.

Don’t forget the toppings like cheese and sour cream and the chips to scoop it all up.

Everyone will think you worked all day on your delicious chili dinner.

It has already snowed in Utah, but what’s next? When will it get really cold? Lots of rain, snow and mild temperatures are forecast for this winter because it is an El Niño year.

It was expected to be seasonally stormy throughout December, with occasional rain and snow, but the larger amounts of snow are coming in January and February 2024. That didn’t happen! Maybe it’s still on the way.

Here is what the Farmers Almanac predicted for Utah:

southwest -Forecast for Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah: An El Niño could bring “large amounts of rain and snow throughout the Southwest,” the almanac predicts.. The Pacific Coast is expected to see a “stormy, snowy and wet” second week of January, followed by “heavy snow” in the mountains in the first week of February that will blanket the western U.S., the forecast said. – Famers’ Advance

When does winter end? Winter temperatures and precipitation could last until early spring, and snow is expected in the first half of April. Apparently the groundhog hasn’t seen his shadow, so an early spring is expected. I just hope the buds and bulbs that are just starting to grow don’t freeze this year.
