Do you ever have one of those days when you want pasta, sushi, a burger or a Texas barbecue but can’t get out of the house?
Thankfully, getting food delivered is much easier now that we can download many apps that will deliver food directly to you. It wasn’t that long ago that you had to call a restaurant to get something delivered, and even then, not all restaurants delivered.
But today we have hundreds of delivery options available, although some options remain more popular than others.
Food delivery apps can be handy
I’ve only used apps a few times to get food delivered, but I have friends who do it often. I usually just want to use them for a coffee, but the cost isn’t really worth an item…
However, if I want a full meal or have a craving for something specific and can’t stop what I’m doing, there are a few places that are absolutely worth ordering from for me. At the top of my list in Tyler, Texas right now are Juicy’s, Go Fish, Kawas, and Brunos.
More orders are placed from some places than from others
When it comes to the most popular delivery locations, delivery service Favor looked at some data and presented us with results from some of the most popular locations in larger cities. The cities included are Austin, Houston, Galveston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, and the Rio Grande Valley.
The goal is to determine the “Best in Texas” based on the places people order from most often. For each city, there is a Best for American, Mexican, Asian, Italian, BBQ and dessert dishes.
While this certainly doesn’t cover every type of food, I think it gives us a good idea of what people like the most. If I’m ever in these cities, I might have to pull out my Favor app and try out one of the best places.
