Texas has a lot of really good bakeries. I bet you even have your own favorite bakery in your own town. And Texas even has a rich bakery history, including one of the oldest bakeries in the United States. It must have been hard to choose “the best.”

The Texas bakery that Taste of Home named the best bakery in Texas has been around since 1941 and is a landmark in San Antonio, Texas. Mi Tierra Café y Panadería is the best bakery in Texas according to Taste of Home. It’s not just a bakery, it’s also a huge restaurant that serves amazing Mexican food.

Mi Tierra Café y Panadería, or simply Mi Tierra, is known throughout Texas as one of the must-stop places in San Antonio. Known for its great food and festive decorations, Mi Tierra is a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

When you visit the bakery, you can choose from many different foods including Pan Fino, Empanadas, YoYo de Fresa, Eclairs, Tres Leches, Churros, Pumpkin Turnovers, Sweet Potato Turnovers and much more.

I’ve tried a few of them and enjoyed some great dinners at Mi Tierra in the past. I’m looking forward to going back.
