“This is the definition of courage” (SEE)

In the September 3 episode of “America’s Got Talent” it was said Simon Cowellis the turn to press the Golden Buzzer LIVE during the quarter-finals. The British judge and producer pressed the button for aerial acrobats Sebastian and Sonja after being incredibly moved that 30-year-old Sonia broke her arm during rehearsals, leaving 24-year-old Sebastian to perform the number all by himself. “That’s the definition of bravery. You don’t give up,” Simon declared after the emotional confetti shower on stage. Watch the Golden Buzzer video above.

Sebastian’s aerial acrobatics were performed to the song “In My Blood” while Sonia watched backstage with the host of “AGT”. Terry CrewsThe breezy performance had everyone jumping, including Simon, who was impressed by Sebastian’s steadfastness. After a lackluster program, Simon declared that it elicited “the best reaction” of the entire evening.

Simon pressed his Golden Buzzer before the other three judges — Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara And Heidi Klum — even got to speak. Here’s what he had to say about Sebastian and Sonia’s performance during Tuesday’s live show: “I’m standing up, Terry, because a lot of people would have given up. How do you do this performance (that’s meant for) two people, with one person and then make it incredible? Honestly, I think most people would have just said, ‘You know what? We had an accident and that’s why we can’t carry on.’ But you did the opposite. You carried on… That was by far the best reaction we’ve had so far, that’s why you get — (presses Golden Buzzer).”

Thanks to Simon’s Golden Buzzer for the aerialists in Barcelona, Spain, Sebastian and Sonia are now moving directly to the final of the 19th season of “AGT”. They will Hakuna Matata acrobats (Sofia’s Choice), Aerial footwork (Howie’s choice), Dee Dee Simon (Heidi’s favorite) and other candidates will be announced later.

The other acts that performed on Tuesday evening were dance groups Brent Streetcomedian Erika Rhodesbalancing duo Illya and Anastasia StrakhovComedy Magician Jonathan BurnsSinging group L6Singer Oscar StembridgeSinger Pranysqa MishraQuick-change artist Solange CardinalSinger Stephanie Rainey and Novelty Act Tonikaku. Three of these acts will progress to the semi-finals based on votes cast overnight from America, with results to be announced at launch on September 4.
