This Miami Beach actress has been married to RFK Jr. for a decade. Now a sexting scandal

They celebrated their ten-year anniversary in August, but now Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy Jr. are once again rocked by a scandal.

New York Magazine has launched an investigation into its star Washington correspondent, Olivia Nuzzi, after she revealed a “personal” relationship with one of her reporters, who turned out to be RFK Jr.

The 31-year-old writer was placed on leave on Thursday for “potentially damaging reader trust,” her boss wrote in a memo leaked by staff and shared on X.

“Earlier this year, the nature of the communications between me and a former reporting individual became personal,” Nuzzi admitted in a statement to her former employer, the Daily Beast. “During that time, I neither reported directly on the individual nor used him or her as a source. The relationship was never physical, but should have been disclosed to avoid the appearance of a conflict.”

Hines has not officially commented on the latest news. On Instagram, the “Drop It, Larry!” star adjusted her crown by sharing pictures of herself in full splendor at the Emmys on Sunday, with her niece being the “perfect” date.

It’s unclear if the 58-year-old Miami Beach native knew the bombshell was about to drop, but according to Page Six, friends had warned her about Jr.’s womanizing tendencies years ago.

Will the digital affair be the last straw? The relationship has reportedly already been rocked by at least one affair. Two months before their wedding, the 70-year-old politician’s offspring was linked to New York socialite Chelsea Chapman Kirwan.

And during her marriage, Hines often had to go into damage control mode: Her husband’s controversial stance on the COVID vaccine famously raised more than a few eyebrows. Most recently, disturbing stories came to light that the former presidential candidate dumped a bear carcass in Central Park and severed the head of a whale.

But maybe the UCF graduate will look the other way this time too – until death do them part.

A little over a month ago, the comedian posted a snapshot from her wedding day (in the rain).

“You have given me a life full of love, laughter, joy and adventure that I could never have imagined,” the romantic tribute read. “In my darkest hours, you bring me light. I love you.”

The thrice-married father of six children denied any wrongdoing in the wake of this mess.

“Mr. Kennedy met Olivia Nuzzi only once in his life for an interview she requested that resulted in a defamatory article,” his spokesman told NBC News.
