But only one was deemed good enough to make the top 10 best ice cream shops in the country. Owowcow was just named one of the best in the United States in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

Owowcow is a small chain that was founded in 2009 in Ottsville, Pennsylvania. They have a total of five locations in the Keystone State and here in New Jersey. They pride themselves on their partnerships with local farmers to get their local, fresh ingredients like milk, eggs, and cream.
Not only is Owowcow praised by ice cream lovers everywhere, they’ve earned the love of vegans too with their homemade vegan ice cream. They’ve experimented dozens of times with mixing dairy-free milks and ingredients before meeting their delicious standards.
They even offer a dog treat. Their sunflower seed butter and pumpkin flavored PupCups are a huge hit. Dogs are a big part of the picture in Lambertville because it’s such a family-friendly and pedestrian-friendly town. You’ll often see businesses providing water bowls on the sidewalks for dogs walking by.
