MARYLAND — The best inexpensive restaurants in Maryland are at Juliet’s Italian Market and Café in Frederick, according to a new analysis of inexpensive restaurants in 500 U.S. cities.
The list of “Best Places for Cheap Eats in Every State,” compiled by online lender CashNetUSA, takes into account both menu prices and Yelp customer reviews.
Overall, customers gave Juliet 4.73 stars on a 5.0 scale.
Located in historic downtown Frederick, Juliet’s sells imported Italian and European groceries, gourmet pastas, homemade baked goods, imported cured meats, cheeses, olives and more. The eatery is best known for its homemade mozzarella, the company’s website says.
The reviewers agree.
“This tiny little market is absolutely worth a visit!” wrote one Yelp reviewer. “Frederick has had several places with great sandwiches, but this place tops them all in my opinion.”
“The best sandwich in Frederick…period,” raved another. “Don’t rush. Relax, look around and say hello to Juliet, a Frederick icon.”
