Three home runs for the Memphis Redbirds, including this controversial

It was a big night in Memphis as the Redbirds defeated the Gwinett Stripers of the Atlanta Braves 8-2 on Saturday night. Jordan Walker hit a three-run home run and a triple and Luken Baker hit his 31st home run of the year on Saturday night.

The main reason for posting it was – we posted the photo above – taken from the press box, so not the best quality – but it was Walker celebrating his home run at home plate, and when we tried to post it on Facebook, they “covered” it. It was quite controversial when they classified it as a “violent” post, and many of our readers wrote to us asking what the “violent” content was.

We took a photo of Jordan Walker celebrating his home run by throwing a fiver with both hands to a teammate at home base. Facebook or Instagram must have thought it was a “brawl” because they “covered” the photo (their words) and said it had “violent” content.

We just wanted to let our readers know that it’s a happy photo of Walker celebrating his home run on Saturday night in Memphis. Walker hit a 434-foot home run, his eighth home run of the season for Triple-A Memphis.

The photo on the left shows Luken Baker crossing home base after making his bomb hit.

Matt Koperniak of the Redbirds also hit a home run, so there were fireworks everywhere. And at AutoZone Park, it was fireworks night.

The starting pitcher was Zack Thompson, but Ryan Schreve took the win for the Redbirds and Hayden Harris took the loss for the Stripers.

It was the Memphis Red Sox night, honoring the Negro Leagues team that played in Memphis. It was their biggest crowd of the season.
