Shortly after confirming that Amsterdam will host the Gran Turismo World Final 2024, Polyphony Digital has also announced that tickets for the live event in Tokyo are now on sale.

It’s the third of three provisional live events this year, and also the first to see the series return to a city it’s hosted before. However, it will be a completely new venue – literally, as the building itself only opened last May.

It’s an impressive facility called the Theater Milano-za, which occupies the 6th to 8th floors of a 250m tall building in Tokyo’s Kabukicho entertainment district. The Tokyo Kabukicho Tower itself houses entertainment venues, Japan’s largest nightclub, the theater, an eight-screen cinema, and not one but two different hotels.

The theater itself features a variable seating layout across three floors and can accommodate up to 1,100 people, but it will likely have a smaller 900-seat configuration to make room for the gaming equipment on the main stage.

It will again be a one-day affair, with both the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup taking place on the evening of Saturday, September 28. The Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup finals are each scheduled to last 90 minutes, with the former starting at 16:00 local time (07:00 UTC) and a relatively long gap between the latter and 19:00 (10:00 UTC).

As usual, two ticket categories are available. The Gold Ticket is a one-day pass that allows you to watch both series from “pre-assigned optimal seating,” and also comes with an exclusive event t-shirt and a free drink. Tickets are on sale now, priced at ¥6,500, or around $44/€41.

You can also purchase general admission tickets for the Manufacturers Cup or Nations Cup, which cost ¥2,500 ($17/€16), but these will not go on sale until next week, Friday 16 August. Although the 800-seat Prague event was not quite sold out, the popularity of Gran Turismo in Japan could mean that tickets will be few and far between for a long time – especially if you have the comfort of a local hotel!

To collect the tickets you want, you must access the special section of the “Gran Turismo World Series” subpage.
