Tito Jackson, popular member of the Jackson 5, dies at 70 | News

Tito Jackson, The American singer, guitarist and member of the legendary Jackson family died on Sunday, September 15, at the age of 70, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson on October 15, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, Tito rose to fame as a member of the Jackson 5 along with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson. Known for his smooth guitar playing, Tito contributed to the group’s distinctive Motown sound and helped them achieve chart success in the late 1960s and 1970s with hits such as “I Want You Back,” “ABC” and “I’ll Be There.”

After The Jackson 5 evolved into The Jacksons, Tito continued to perform and record with his siblings while pursuing solo projects. In 2016, he released his debut solo album Tito erawith songs like “Get It Baby” feat. Big Daddy Kane showed his talent in rhythm and blues. His music covers genres from pop and soul to blues and rock, and his warm stage presence made him a fan favorite at live performances.

In addition to his musical career, Tito is also the proud father of three sons – Taj, Taryll and TJ Jackson – who have formed their own music group 3T. Most recently, Tito was a guest at Freequency in LA and spoke with his nephew Austin Brown about his love of music.
