As part of their rewards program, Arizona Circle K locations are offering a big discount on gas on Thursday.

Starting at midnight local time on August 29, members of Inner Circle, Circle K’s loyalty program, can save up to 40 cents per gallon.

To receive the discount, you must become an Inner Circle member. You can sign up for the program online, through the Circle K app, at the checkout at a Circle K location, or by scanning the QR code at the pump. To save, enter the phone number associated with the account before filling up.

To find a Circle K near you, visit the store locator at www.circlek.com/store-locator.

How to save money on gas in Arizona

In the meantime, here are some ways you can save money at the pump:

  • Gasbuddy.com displays gas station prices in your area online or in its app and tells you where to find the cheapest ones.
  • Another source is Geico.com, which has a “local gas price” search. You can use this service whether you are a customer of the insurer or not.
  • You can also check local gas prices on Google Maps and Waze, which also provide tips on carpooling.
  • Mapquest has a gas icon that you can tap to see prices in your area.
  • Driving habits such as driving slower on highways, using cruise control (if available), and accelerating and braking gradually can reduce fuel consumption.
  • Keeping your tires properly inflated, replacing dirty air filters, removing excess cargo from your vehicle, making sure the gas cap is tight, and reducing idling when possible can all help you save some gas.
  • Take advantage of gas rewards programs. Circle K Easy Pay, grocery store discount programs, or using a GasBuddy gas card are some of the most popular options. Fry’s Food Store customers can redeem points at Fry’s or participating Shell gas stations. A similar program is offered at Albertsons and Safeway stores in Arizona, where rewards can be redeemed for savings at Safeway, Chevron, and Texaco gas stations.
