Tori Spelling says “Dancing With the Stars” helped her “find” herself.

The 51-year-old actress, who filed for divorce from Dean McDermott in March after 17 years of marriage, told her professional partner Pasha Pashkov that she had turned down the opportunity to take part in the show every year but finally agreed to take part in the 33rd season of the dance competition series as part of her attempt to make a fresh start.

When Pasha asked her why she said “yes” this time, she replied at the premiere on Tuesday (17.09.24): “My 50th birthday was here and my life was exploding. I’m going through a very public divorce right now. I’m really trying to find myself again.”

“Everything I thought I was has burned to the ground.”

The former “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress was asked to choose her personal anthem to dance to and chose “Trustfall” by Pink.

She explained: “When I fall, I catch myself because I trust myself.”

Although the judges said her foxtrot was “a bit stiff” and that she still had “a lot of work” ahead of her, Tori couldn’t have been happier with her performance.

She clenched her fist and told presenter Julianne Hough: “I found it! It only took me 51 years…

“(This is) really outside my comfort zone.”

Meanwhile, Jenn Tran also admitted that she used the show to process her heartbreak after announcing earlier this month during “The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose” that she and fiancé Devin Strader had split.

She recalled: “I really felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest. Now I’m here and I have a little revenge…

“(I just want to be able to) be independent.”

Judge Derek Hough described her partnership with dancer Sasha Farber as a “perfect match.”

After watching the couple’s cha-cha to Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” he said, “Forget ‘The Bachelorette’ because you found your perfect partner in Sasha. You are all so adorable.”
