Trump believes Charlie Kirk can win Arizona with racist jokes

It’s as if Charlie Kirk and Turning Point Action are adopting the old Arizona saying as a campaign strategy: “It’s dry hate.”

If you’re a political activist tasked with winning Arizona for Donald Trump, you may face disapproval for making racist jokes on public radio.

Maybe even seen as an obstacle.

But apparently not if you’re Charlie Kirk, the MAGA guru of the cult-like Turning Point Action in Arizona.

This week, an article appeared in New York magazine describing how Trump’s plan to win Arizona in the upcoming presidential election was “outsourced to Turning Point Action.”

And why not?

Longtime political consultant Chuck Coughlin told the New Yorker: “There is no Republican Party in Arizona. It’s been hijacked. Turning Point Action is the Republican Party for Arizona. It’s been hijacked from within.”

Kirk insults Arizona’s Latino population

The article describes how the group concluded that the best way to secure Arizona for Trump is a strategy that is “focused almost exclusively on reaching voters who are already ready to side with MAGA.”

Forget everyone else.

Given that, it’s as if Kirk and his pals have no problem having a little racist “fun.” As if any sane person would call it that.

Like when they made fun of Latino fans of the Dallas Cowboys in a recent podcast.

Kirk and his classmates talked about how easy they thought it was to hate the Cowboys.

(I guess they don’t know how many fans the Cowboys have in Arizona. People started following the team before the Cardinals moved here.)

Kirk chimed in: “Why is every Cowboys fan like a 5’6” Mexican in long denim shorts?”

Oh well.

He also insults African Americans

I’m pretty sure Kirk knows how many Latinos there are in Arizona. He doesn’t seem to care.

On the other hand, this man once said, “We made a big mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.”

As if banning racial discrimination was a bad thing.

He’s also the guy who said, “I’m sorry. If I see a black pilot, I’m going to say, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified.'”

Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump: Do you have an anti-Semitism problem

Kirk and Turning Point have hosted Trump in Arizona several times.

They did so in August at a rally at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale. And U.S. Senator JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, recently appeared with Kirk at a Turning Point Action event at Generation Church in Mesa.

Trump’s son Donald Jr. said of Kirk: “Charlie Kirk and Turning Point are a major reason why the conservative movement is finally showing backbone.”

Do Republicans find this racism funny?

To such an extent that the campaign is now brazenly extending its racist tendencies to every ugly and unsubstantiated nonsense on the Internet.

This includes Vance spreading ridiculous claims against immigrants, “that people’s pets have been kidnapped and eaten by people who should not be in this country.”

A claim that sycophants like Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Don Jr. They’re joining in on the anti-immigrant, racist “joke.” And they’re putting up idiotic billboards in places like Phoenix.

These guys think racism is funny? Racism is an election campaign strategy?

It reminds me of what some people say about the political climate in Arizona: “It’s dry hate.”
