Trump: Harris debate was rigged – ABC should lose its license

Donald Trump sharply criticized ABC News anchors on Wednesday morning for what the Republican presidential candidate called “rigging” a debate against Kamala Harris. He said government regulators should revoke the “terrible” broadcaster’s license “for the way it did it.”

But Trump also said in a call-in interview with Fox News’ “Fox and Friends”: “We did great” in the debate on Tuesday night.

“It was one of my better debates, one of my best debates,” said Trump, who nevertheless complained that moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis “corrected” him too often in the showdown with Harris.

Trump said the debate felt like he was battling three opponents: Harris and the two ABC News moderators.

Trump also rejected pop star Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democratic candidate Harris, which Swift announced minutes after the debate.

“I’m not a Taylor Swift fan… she’ll probably pay a price for that in the market,” Trump said.

Harris’ campaign team took a very different view of the debate and boasted about their performance against Trump.

The vice president told his supporters on Tuesday evening that “today was a good day.”

Harris’ campaign team also called for a second debate against Trump in October.

When asked about the challenge on “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday, Trump replied, “Well, I would be less inclined to do that because we had a great evening.”

“We won the debate,” he said. “We had a terrible, terrible network.”
