Nashville police are investigating the fatal shooting of two men early Sunday morning in Hartman Park. Nashville police said the shooting occurred “during a gathering” at the park on Tucker Road overnight and the motive remains under investigation.
When police arrived at North Nashville Park around 1 a.m., they found 21-year-old Dominique Miller lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders took Miller to nearby TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he died.
Officers later learned that 26-year-old Jamontez Johnson also suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds in the shooting. According to a statement from Nashville Police, Johnson was taken in a private vehicle to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A third man, whose name the MNPD did not release, later reported to police that he had also been shot in the park. The 21-year-old man’s injuries were not life-threatening, police officials said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the murders of Miller and Johnson to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
