Video transcript

This is Ben’s folks with Yahoo Sports.

Here are three quick pieces of news from UFC.

305.

First, you don’t have to like it.

But at this point you have to admit it.

Dryas Duplessis is the best middleweight in the world.

I don’t know anyone in the UFC.

It looks like he loses many times before he finally wins, but he wins every single time.

What else can one say about this guy at this point?

Aside from that, he is the best 185-pounder in the world.

Second, Israel Assadi has lost this fight, but he is not finished yet.

At least he doesn’t have to finish if he doesn’t want to, because he had some great moments in this fight.

He looked really good, apart from that one sudden and very costly defensive error.

It looked like he might win this fight.

He can clearly still beat a lot of guys on this list.

I don’t know if he wants to stay at middleweight and try to have that tough fight for another title shot, but he can still fight.

He looked good.

And thirdly, are we really making Sean Strickland the next title challenger?

I mean, if it has to be that way, that’s fine, but I wish there was something else.

Almost anything else we could do.

The winner of Robert Whitaker and Hamza May.

Maybe if this fight actually takes place.

I don’t know, it just seems like we just did this, you know, we’ll do it again if we have to, if we absolutely have to.

Fine.
