WHAT: The Best of Ouachita

WHERE: ULM Clarke M. Williams Innovation Campus, 100 Centurylink Dr. in Monroe

WHEN: Tuesday, August 20th 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

PERMIT: Free and open to the public


MONROE, LA – The University of Louisiana Monroe, along with the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and Discover Monroe-West Monroe, is pleased to announce “The Best of Ouachita,” a one-day event taking place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the ULM Clarke M. Williams Innovation Campus.

“This is an opportunity for local residents to see all the great things this community has to offer,” said Brooke Foy, associate professor of art at ULM and organizer of The Best of Ouachita. “ULM is excited to host the community and let them know about all the great things happening at our university,” she added.

“Best of Ouachita” is an extension of the previous “Ouachita 101” event and aims to educate new and existing residents of the Ouachita community about all the exciting things happening in our community. “Best of Ouachita” offers residents the opportunity to be more informed and connect with local businesses and our local university. This event is open to the public. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Booths will feature local businesses showcasing what makes them the best of Ouachita. The program includes browsing and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., ULM President Ron Berry’s annual university address from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and more browsing from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
