The collective ADR for the leading vacation rentals averages $2,678, well above the national average of $255. These properties tend to have larger accommodations, averaging 8.37 bedrooms, for an average daily rate of $319.95 per bedroom. This pricing suggests that luxury vacation rentals offer competitive value compared to high-end hotels, especially for larger groups looking for exclusive use of a property with the same services and amenities.

Top vacation rentals in Costa Rica are often purpose-built as vacation properties. These homes typically feature modern, minimalist design with open spaces and plenty of natural light, integrating indoor and outdoor living areas to create a larger living space.
