USA announces 24th Ramstein meeting for September 6

The United States has announced that the 24th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, known as the Ramstein format, will take place on September 6, 2024.

The US Air Force in Europe told Radio Liberty’s correspondent that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will convene a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on September 6, 2024.

The group’s last meeting took place on June 13. The focus of the discussions was reportedly the issue of Ukraine’s air defense.

The US-led Ramstein Group is a cooperation mechanism among over 50 countries that coordinates arms deliveries to Ukraine and works to ensure that Ukraine receives the necessary means to defend its sovereign territory.
