UT announces dates for 2024 football home games

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – On Tuesday, Tennessee Athletics announced the site of its 2024 home games at Neyland Stadium.

According to UT, the legendary #CheckerNeyland campaign presented by Pilot will take over Neyland Stadium for the Vols’ first SEC home game against Florida on Oct. 12. This will be the eighth #CheckerNeyland event in program history.

The third annual Champions Weekend, presented by Pilot, will take place on November 2nd when Tennessee hosts Kentucky. Teams and individuals who have won SEC and/or NCAA championships in certain years will be invited to Rocky Top to celebrate their athletic achievements.

UT will also honor the Tennessee Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 on the day of the Kentucky game. The 2024 class includes Sarah Fekete-Bailey, Sheila Frost, John Henderson, Stan Huntsman, Julie Knytych, Jim Haslam and Ann Baker Furrow.

Homecoming is scheduled for November 9, when Tennessee faces Mississippi State.

The annual Salute to Service game will be held on November 23, Senior Day, when UTEP comes to Rocky Top. This will be the Vols’ final home game for the 2024 season.

Youth Sports Day, presented by DICK’S House of Sport, will be held on August 31. All youth participants are invited to experience the Youth Sports Day Zone before the Vols take on Chattanooga in Vol Village, including bounce houses, photo opportunities and more. Vol Village is open from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tickets for the Chattanooga game on Youth Sports Day can be purchased here.
