Volleyball reaches third place, the highest result ever achieved in the Big South preseason poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team has earned its best ranking yet in the Big South Preseason Poll, securing the third spot in the league’s coaches’ poll. Looking to build on last season’s success, the Blue Hose have brought back 10 key players while welcoming seven new faces to the 2024 roster.

Head Coach Steve BensonNow entering his second season at the helm of the PC volleyball program, he looks to take his team to new heights in the 2024 season.

“Our ranking reflects the work we did last year, but we have to prove ourselves every time we step on the field this year,” said Steven Benson. “We are very excited about our new players and how hard our returning players have worked to integrate them into our game system. We are looking forward to the start of the season!”

Prior to the 2020–21 spring season, Presbyterian was ranked fourth in the conference, the team’s highest preseason ranking to date.

Last season, the Blue Hose were picked seventh in the Big South Preseason Poll and finished fourth, making it to the Big South Championships.
