With that in mind, let’s now look at the average estimates of some Walmart metrics that are commonly modeled and monitored by Wall Street analysts.

According to the analysts’ consensus estimate, revenue from memberships and other income is expected to amount to $1.47 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +8.6% year-on-year.

Analysts forecast that Walmart US net sales will reach $114.59 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +3.4% year-on-year.

The average analyst forecast is $166.95 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +4.2% compared to the same quarter last year.

Analysts expect Walmart International’s net sales to reach $29.70 billion. The estimate indicates a change of +7.6% compared to the same quarter last year.

The consensus estimate for “US comparable store sales (year-over-year change) – Walmart US – excluding fuel impact” is 3.5%. The estimate compares to 6.4% year-over-year.

Analysts forecast that reported sales growth (YoY change) – Walmart International will reach 7.7%. The estimate contrasts with the year-ago figure of 13.3%.

Analysts expect U.S. comparable store sales (year-over-year change) – Sam’s Club – excluding fuel impacts to reach 4.0%, up from 5.5% last year.

Analysts expect comparable U.S. sales (year-over-year change) – total U.S. – excluding fuel impact to be 3.7%. Compared to the current estimate, the company reported an increase of 6.3% in the year-ago quarter.

The analysts’ joint assessment suggests that the total net square meterage is likely to reach 1,053.47 m². This estimate compares to the previous year’s figure of 1,049.89 m².

According to the analysts’ joint estimate, Sam’s Club’s net square footage is expected to be 80.53 sq. m. Compared to the current estimate, the company reported 80.2 sq. m in the same quarter last year.

Analysts agree that Walmart US’s net square footage will reach 698.05 Msq ft. Compared to the current estimate, the company reported 699.12 Msq ft in the same quarter last year.

The analysts’ consensus estimate is for the number of Sam’s Club stores to be 601. This estimate contrasts with the previous year’s figure of 599.
