The competition on Saturday afternoon between West Virginia And Kansas was interrupted due to weather with 10:43 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Lightning was spotted near Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

According to NCAA rules, play cannot resume until 30 minutes have passed since the last lightning strike occurred within eight miles of the stadium. At the time of the stoppage, the Jayhawks were leading 21-17.

This is the second time this season that a WVU home game has had to be postponed due to weather. The opening game against Penn State also had to be halted due to lightning. That delay lasted more than two hours, so let’s hope it goes a little quicker this time.
