Miami’s football game against Ball State on Saturday has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game was originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Hurricanes announced that lightning was seen near Hard Rock Stadium and asked fans to seek shelter indoors in the meantime, adding that a new kickoff time will be announced once it is confirmed.

No. 12 Miami (2-0) is a 36.5-point favorite, according to BetMGM, over the Cardinals, who are 1-0 this season with a 42-34 win over Missouri State on Sept. 7.

The Hurricanes are expecting a big game from Heisman Trophy candidate Cam Ward, who had 689 passing yards with six touchdowns and one interception in his first season with the team after transferring from Washington State in the offseason.
