If a Reddit post is to be believed, fans can look forward to a number of Krabby Patty-inspired menu items starting next month.

What is Wendy’s Krabby Patty?

Wendy’s won’t be serving the real Krabby Patty – as far as we know – so they’ve developed a variation of the concept.

According to a Reddit post on the r/Spongebob subreddit, a leaked memo to employees at Wendy’s stores states that there are three SpongeBob-inspired items in the chain’s Krabby Patty collaboration.

The Krabby Patty is said to be a “premium cheeseburger” with Krabby Patty sauce.

There are also Hot & Crispy Fries (not the popular Krusty Krab Kelp Fries) and a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty – a vanilla Frosty with pineapple-mango puree.

The memo in the post states that the SpongeBob items will be available starting October 8th.

Wendy’s officials reportedly declined to comment.

What is Krabby Patty?

The Krabby Patty is the most popular burger in Bikini Bottom and is only sold at the Krusty Krab, where SpongeBob SquarePants happily works as a fry cook.

The secret formula of the Krabby Patty is never revealed in the show and several episodes revolve around the little villain Plankton, who plans to steal the recipe.

The show is celebrating its 25th anniversary and first aired on Nickelodeon in 1999. The allegedly leaked memo also claims that Nickelodeon’s parent company Paramount is also involved in the collaboration with the Krusty Krab.
