Fundraising campaigns
• St. John United Church of Christ, 1230 Brownstown Road, Larimer, will host a Dog Days of Summer hot dog sale at the church on Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Combo meals and drinks available. Details: Lil, 724-493-8982.
• Feeding the Spirit is hosting a beach fundraiser called “Endless Summer” on Sept. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Stratigos Banquet Center, 131 Colonial Manor Road, North Huntingdon. There will be entertainment, a basket raffle, a raffle tree, a 50-50 promotion, appetizers, a Pittsburgh cookie table and a cash bar. Beach party attire is welcome. Reunifications
• The 99th The annual Ulery meeting will be held on August 25th at the Laurel Highlands Campground Pavilion in Donegal. A buffet lunch will be served at 1pm. Bring a dish to share. Chicken, table service and coffee will be provided.
• The Hempfield High School graduating class of 1968 will host a free reunion on August 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Greenhouse Winery, 2155 Gracin Lane, Sewickley Township. No reservations required. There will be live music. Bring a small snack, but no liquids.
Special event
• Mental Health America of Southwestern Pennsylvania in Greensburg celebrates its 60th anniversary at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, 7370 Baker St. Highland Park. Cost: $100, includes aquarium access, animal encounters, food bar and special activities. There will be a bar and DJ. Tickets: tinyurl.com/hse4y7b4.
