“Most of the reactions have been really good. Of course there are people who hate us. … This is no picnic. The fight against anti-Semitism is a serious matter. That is the most important thing,” Patricia said when talking about her commitment. NewsNation.

Patricia Heaton has occasionally apologized for her views.

Although she seems more outspoken today than when she was still a regular on network television (imagine that), Patricia has occasionally had to retract or apologize for certain statements or arguments she made online.

In 2012, she became embroiled in a dispute with Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, who advocated that contraception should be mandatory in all health insurance plans.

“I don’t care if someone uses birth control – just don’t charge for it,” she wrote on Twitter, starting a thread mocking Sandra’s activism on the issue. She later deleted most of the thread and apologized for her remarks.

She also apologized for appearing in an ad opposing a Missouri constitutional amendment addressing embryonic stem cell research.

But regardless of what she considers to be past mistakes, it is clear that Patricia remains willing to advocate for the causes she cares about, even though she knows doing so could cause controversy.
