The Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles will start their respective 2024 NFL seasons in an unusual setting: a Friday Night Football duel at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Week 1 clash will be the first NFL game played in Brazil and one of five games to be played outside the United States in 2024 as part of the league’s International Series. Three more will be played in London in October, while a game will be played in Munich, Germany, in November.

It’s also a must-win game in the NFC, as both teams secured wild-card spots in the playoffs last year. The Eagles were 11-6 but finished the season on a disappointing note, losing their final two regular-season games before suffering a crushing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs. Green Bay, meanwhile, only made the playoffs thanks to a series of tiebreakers, but then shocked the Dallas Cowboys before pushing the favored San Francisco 49ers to the limit in the divisional round.
