Downtown Fort Pierce is filled with art, history and historic architecture – including seven buildings on the National Register of Historic Places – giving it a uniquely Florida charm. There are bars, restaurants, the Sunrise Theater, and activities and entertainment both downtown and at the waterfront Marina Square. Don’t miss:
- Art Walk: 5pm–8pm every third Friday
- Green Market: every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Farmers market: every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Friday Festival: 5:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. every first Friday
These restaurants are located downtown, from AE Backus Avenue to Citrus Avenue and from US 1 to Indian River Drive, except those east of the Drive, which will be featured in an upcoming roundup of marina/waterfront restaurants.
