The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after their victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. The 22-17 victory was made possible by excellent offensive performance, ball control and crucial defensive stops.
Patrick Mahomes picked up another interception thrown to him during his career against Justin Simmons and was strong in the second half. Chamarri Conner has completed two successful games in a row with an interception against Kirk Cousins. Carson Steele did well as the running back replacement for Isiah Pacheco, while Rashee Rice further solidified his role as the team’s best receiver.
With the emergence of veteran receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who makes it to the end zone on defense, Trent McDuffie shines as a top-class cornerback.
Here’s a look at some players’ stock performance after the Week 3 win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:
Stock up: WR Rashee Rice
Rice was also the team’s best pass receiver in Week 3 with 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Restock: Carson Steele
In his first game as a running back, Steele did not disappoint, rushing for 72 yards on 17 carries, leading the team.
Add: Patrick Mahomes
The reigning Super Bowl MVP threw another interception to Justin Simmons, this time from the Falcons, and finished the game with 217 yards passing and two touchdowns.
Stock up: Chamarri Conner
Conner continued his excellent play from last week, intercepting a pass from Kirk Cousins and finishing the game with seven tackles.
Top up: Nick Bolton
Bolton made the most significant stop of the game late in the fourth quarter when he tackled Bijan Robinson behind the line on fourth down. He was the best player of the night with eight tackles.
