According to a lottery press release, a single ticket sold in Texas matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing. The prize was worth an estimated $800 million, with a cash value of $404.2 million, the seventh-highest in Mega Millions history.

The winning numbers from Tuesday’s draw were 1, 2, 16, 24 And 66. The golden Megaball was 6, and the Megaplier was 4X.

Ahead of the next drawing on Friday, the jackpot is now estimated at $20 million, with a cash value of $10.1 million.

Where was the Mega Millions jackpot won?

A winning ticket for Tuesday night’s $800 million Mega Millions jackpot was sold in Texas. According to a press release, the winning ticket was sold at Murphy USA 8848 in Sugar Land, Texas.

Tuesday’s drawing marks the 15th time the Mega Millions jackpot has been won in Texas since the state began playing the game in December 2003. It is also the largest Mega Millions jackpot ever won in September and the third prize won this year.

In addition to the jackpot winner, there was a Match 5 winner of $1 million in California, Florida, New York and Washington. There were no Match 5 + Power Play winners of $34 million.

How to play Mega Millions

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play.

There are a total of nine ways to win a prize, from the jackpot down to $2.

Players can choose six numbers from two separate number pools: five different numbers from the white balls numbered 1-70 and one number from the gold balls numbered 1-25.
