Grocery deliveries are more popular than ever. But despite this popularity, many shoppers report problems with the actual delivery of the groceries they ordered.
For example, one user reported her surprise when she ordered lemons as part of a grocery order and they were delivered in decorative plastic bottles. Another user claimed that her order was delivered in a theft-proof box that she had to break open with a hammer. Another user claimed that she received a delivery that was already ripped open.
Regarding the former, delivery customers often complain about drivers’ inability to adequately replace missing items. In some cases, the replacements are bizarre. In other cases, drivers claim they have to deliver a replacement even though the item is in the store.
That may be why when TikTok user Kayla-Lee (@klgroez) was told her Walmart was out of cheese, she asked if there was a replacement. What happened next took her completely by surprise.
A Walmart without cheese
In a video with over 418,000 views, Kayla-Lee shares a screen recording of an interaction between her and a Walmart delivery driver.
“They don’t have any cheese,” says the Walmart employee.
“Do you have any other similar cheese?” Kayla-Lee answers incredulously.
At this point, the Walmart employee sends a photo of the cheese and meat shelf. It is completely empty.
“The entire meat and cheese department is empty,” the employee notes.
Kayla-Lee answers with a laugh and accepts that she will not get any meat or cheese.
“When I place an order at Walmart and the shopper sends me this,” she writes in the caption. “I just wanted my cheese lol.”
“I honestly have no idea,” Kayla-Lee told the Daily Dot via Instagram direct message about why the store was out of meat and cheese. “They literally had no cheese and still don’t.”
Kayla-Lee says she hasn’t been able to get any meat or cheese since then.
“I just gave up and didn’t eat any cheese or meat this week,” she wrote.

In the comments section, some users offered possible reasons why this particular Walmart location might not have cheese or meat on the shelves.
“The radiator may have been broken so they probably removed it completely to put it in the rear radiators,” said one user. “If they had asked an employee I’m sure they would have gotten it.”
“This just happened to me at work, only everything went wrong, so maybe the same thing happened here,” added another.
“This happened at my Kroger too, except everything was refrigerated lmaooo,” said a third. “I went in and there was nothing.”
Others simply expressed surprise that an item that a delivery person had said was missing was actually missing from the shelves.
As one user put it, “The first time, they actually had nothing of something.”
