Why Toronto is the best place for a bachelor party, better than Las Vegas

Why Toronto is the best place for a bachelor party, better than Las Vegas

I’ve been invited to more bachelorette parties than I can count.

They have all been great fun and have given me an excuse to visit amazing destinations around the world. I have been to Cabo, Napa, Puerto Rico, Palm Springs, India, Hawaii, Las Vegas and many other places to celebrate the weddings of dear friends.

I’m usually always happy when I get a new invitation, but when I found out that one of my friends was celebrating her bachelorette party in Toronto, I was a little disappointed.

I didn’t think it would be an exciting destination for a girls’ trip. But to my pleasant surprise, I was wrong. The Canadian city completely blew me away.

The city is lively and full of personality, art and culture

Lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto

The Four Seasons Toronto was full of stunning artwork.

We stayed at the beautiful Four Seasons in the historic Yorkville district.

To reflect the city’s creative energy, local artists’ work was displayed throughout the hotel, and there were even giant dandelion sculptures hanging from the ceiling in the lobby.

There were also plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the hotel. I was blown away by the food options in Toronto.

The pasta at Spaccio was delicious.

Some of my favorite dishes included the French dishes at Café Boulud, al dente pasta and traditional Italian pizza at Spaccio West Terroni, the Latin-inspired cuisine at Baro, and the Michelin-starred food at Alobar Yorkville.

The activities in Toronto were varied and entertaining

Although nice accommodations and great food are already plus points, the variety of activities around Toronto really exceeded my expectations.

For the daring, the CN Tower’s EdgeWalk is a must-do. There’s nothing like walking around on an open-air platform 116 stories above the city. It’s an epic view, a great social experience and a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity.

View of Niagara Falls from a helicopter

From a helicopter we were able to see Niagara Falls from a bird’s eye view.

If you are traveling with adventurous wine lovers, I recommend the helicopter tour with Niagara Helicopters Limited, which flies over Niagara Falls and ends at a winery.

We also enjoyed a Segway tour of the Distillery District, which was teeming with boutiques, cafes, breweries and restaurants.

For a quieter afternoon, Toronto also has several notable museums, but I can’t say enough about the unique experience at the Bata Shoe Museum.

It houses antique shoes from regions around the world, imaginative futuristic kicks and unique artist exhibitions.

Clothes rack in Fitzroy in Toronto

There were tons of dresses to choose from at Fitzroy.

The best part of the trip for me was renting dresses at the Fitzroy for an evening at the opera.

The Fitzroy cordoned off an area of the store and provided us with champagne and sweet treats while we tried on our dresses.

I never thought a Canadian city would become my favorite bachelorette party destination

I can’t believe I got to wear a stunning dress to the Toronto Opera.

I admit I was wrong about Toronto. It was an incredible destination for a bachelorette party – and would probably be great for any other girls’ trip too.

I had experiences that would be considered exceptional on any trip, like helicopter rides and a night at the opera. Plus, every meal was uniquely delicious.

The variety of activities, luxurious accommodations and unforgettable meals have made Toronto my favourite bachelorette party destination so far.
