The 2024 WNBA season will go down in history for several reasons: the league set unprecedented attendance records, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark set a rookie record for most points, A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces became the league’s first player to score 1,000 points in a season, to name a few. The list of accomplishments this season alone is staggering, which makes the upcoming playoff tournament all the more exciting. The 2024 WNBA playoffs are scheduled to begin on Sunday, September 22. Here’s all the information you need to know to watch the WNB playoffs, including where to watch, which teams are playing, and more.

Dates: 22 September – 20 October

TV channels: ABC, ESPN

Streaming: Fubo TV, Sling TV, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV

The first round of the WNBA playoffs begins on Sunday, September 22. Team pairings are yet to be announced, but the playoffs are scheduled to continue through October 18 if needed.

So far, there are seven confirmed teams for the 2024 WBNA playoffs. Chicago, Atlanta and Washington will battle for the eighth and final spot, which will be decided after the games conclude on Thursday.

The WNBA playoffs will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN Networks and ABC.

Yes, DirecTV will resume carrying ABC and all ESPN channels after a brief hiatus in broadcasts on the platform. DirecTV subscribers will be able to watch every WNBA playoff game.

While this season’s WNBA games will be broadcast on more than ten channels and streaming platforms, including Prime Video, ION and other national broadcasters, the playoffs will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and ESPN. Please note that they not will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The WNBA playoffs consist of eight teams; the participating teams are determined based on their results in the regular season. In the first round, the games are played in a best-of-three format. The semifinals and finals are played in a best-of-five format.
