TULSA, Okla. (KJRH) — Imagine bringing your loved one’s urn to have it engraved with a special name and then never seeing it again – a Tulsa woman reached out to 2 News when that happened to her.

Anna Daniels is devastated. She brought the urn containing her sister’s remains to Custom Craft Awards & Engraving and someone stole it.

“It would mean everything to me to get the urn back,” Daniels said.

She shared this photo of the urn with 2 News.

She took her late sister Kathy’s urn to the shop to have her name, birthday and date of death engraved on it, when she received a call from Custom Craft telling her there had been a break-in.

Someone stole her sister’s urn.

“When he said it was stolen, I burst into tears, dropped my phone and cried for two days,” Daniels said.

Harrison Duff is the owner of Customs Craft. Duff said the thief broke in in the early hours of the morning.

“Everything else can be replaced financially, but the urn in particular is something I cannot replace,” Duff said.

Daniels said her sister Kathy was more than just a sister: “She meant everything in the world to me. She was my protector.”

Tulsa police told 2 News that the investigation into the break-in is ongoing.
