The Yelpers have spoken – and their favorite Wisconsin sandwich is made with homemade focaccia and leaves them wanting more.
Yelp listed Casetta Kitchen and Counter in Madison, 222 W. Washington Ave., as Wisconsin’s choice in its ranking of the best sandwiches in each state.
“Yelpers can’t get enough of the homemade focaccia at this Italian sandwich hotspot that’s only open 4 hours a day (and the sandwiches regularly sell out),” Yelp’s ad copy for Casetta said.
The best sandwich is the Paradigm, consisting of spicy soppressata, mozzarella, homemade spicy tomato vinaigrette, mayo, arugula and roasted peppers, all served on a focaccia.
The rankings are based on a Yelp compilation of businesses in the sandwich category for each state. From the reviews, a sandwich was chosen as the number one spot for each of the 50 states based on location, number of reviews and rating.

Casetta’s menu features a selection of sandwiches, soups and baked goods, and they also offer catering and online ordering.
The Italian sandwich shop is open Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
