You could be arrested if you bring these 8 items to a Texas airport

For some in Texas, it’s travel season year-round. You pack a suitcase for the destination on your itinerary, drive to the airport, go through security, board the plane, and arrive at your final destination. However, security screening can be a delay for some people. Why? Because they decided to bring a prohibited item onto the plane. Learn about the items that aren’t allowed on the plane so your next trip through security will be much less of a headache.

Airport security

Since the events of September 11, 2001, airport security has been a top priority in every country around the world. Laws, regulations and rules have been put in place to prevent another heartbreaking day like that. Not knowing these laws, regulations and rules can significantly slow down your otherwise very enjoyable trip.

There are obvious items you shouldn’t take on board an airplane, like a loaded gun or a knife, but there are some other prohibited items you might not think too much about. Large bottles of liquids are one of them. You can’t take something as harmless as a bottle of shampoo or a bottle of soda on the plane in your bag. You have to stop and either put it in your checked baggage or throw it away.

Bring only the essentials

Packing for vacation is no longer like those 90’s romantic comedies where the wife has seven bags full of stuff. You can basically have one bag and pay extra for each additional bag, and a small carry-on for the plane. Pack the big stuff in your checked bag and only take the essentials in your carry-on.
